Old memories re-running

It's winter again,
Memories of our times together come back to haunt me,
It hurts when dreams get shattered,
but it hurts more because I felt betrayed
I couldn't know how and why,
the chasm between us continued to grow,
I tried with all my might
but you left me alone and went away
all I am holding onto now is old memories...
But with each passing day,
they too are slowly fading away into memory's abyss
